Meet TypeCleanse, born out of the need to rapidly process text strings. Simplify file-naming and URL creation, rapidly remove extra spaces from text and keep capitalisation consistent.
After spending many hours constructing URLs and file-name strings for projects, it made sense to build a tool to speed-up the workflow.
How many times have you received copy in Word format and had to clean-up the formatting to start a design? This includes hidden characters in Word files, irregular capitalisation and extra spaces. TypeCleanse takes care of all these tasks. Typically you would have to paste copy into a plain text editor and ‘Make Plain Text’. Just by pasting the copy into TypeCleanse, styles will get stripped.
For file-naming, special characters can be removed, words can be made lowercase (or Capitalisation Case) and separated by hyphens or underscores to match your house-naming convention. A date can then be added with just three clicks. The capitalisation features are especially useful to keep headings consistent across your brand’s style.
Other features
The app can also generate Lorem ipsom, perfect for testing your designs, plus character/word counts, useful in situations with character/word limits.
