About

The Silicon Valley Internship Program gives international Software Engineering university graduates (and related disciplines) the unique experience of working at a tech company in the San Francisco Bay Area through a one-year paid internship.

This project involved designing and building a series of templates to communicate information for the start-up visit at the GBx Gala, in partnership with Imperial Enterprise Lab. The templates were designed in such a way that they were re-usable for each event.

The idea was to build a series profile cards to display information about the visiting entrepreneurs and team members. These cards would then link to a larger profile with a biography and and information regarding their business proposition. A form would allow investors to book a meeting.

Process

Figma was an invaluable tool during the collaborative design process with the client. Live feedback meant designs could be iterated rapidly.

The SVIP site was built and is maintained and hosted by MazeSpace Studios. I custom-built the new designs on top of the current SVIP WordPress theme. I worked with MazeSpace Studios in reviewing code and source control.

Technology used

The web pages are built in WordPress using PHP, HTML5 and CSS3. UI design was done in Figma.
